October is known nationally as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, or as our local community partners have renamed it, Domestic Violence Action Month.  This month the Violence Intervention Partnership is honoring survivors, and encouraging community members to move beyond awareness and take action to end domestic abuse. Thanks to the Cumberland County maintenance crew at the courthouse, we have already begun to honor survivors with Purple Light Nights® !

Other ways to participate:

Wear Purple Day
Thursday, October 19th is Wear Purple Day. Join the national movement to help educate and raise awareness about domestic abuse. Wear purple, snap a selfie with your family/friends/co-workers and then tag Through These Doors using #wearpurple
